"The Hideaway in the Cascades"

"The inn is set dramatically on a private 20 acre meadow with pristine, postcard view of the Stuart Range of the Cascades."  "There's one downside to having snowmobiles and snowcats around: you can't stay snowbound forever."  To view the complete article A Winter Hideaway High In The Cascades     http://www.nytimes.com/pages/travel/index.html

Details:
Our snowmobile tours are available exclusively to our guests at the Lodge. Limited to just 6 riders and 2 guides, each tour travels to some of the most pristine and spectacular views in the Cascades. Our tour guides have over 20 years of combined experience exploring our extensive trail system using our Special Use Permit with the Wenatchee National Forest, thus ensuring your snowmobiling adventure will be the best!

Tours average 2-1/2 to 3 hours in length.

Distances traveled of 25-30 miles of high country terrain.

Elevations conquered to 4000’-5500’.

Tours travel in the Wenatchee National Forest atop Wedge Mountain and Boundary Butte (see map below).

Snowmobiles used are Yamaha - *Ovation and Phazer sleds.

*Ovation and Phazer snowmobiles were chosen for our tours due their performance, comfort, weight, and agility.

Each rider operates his or her own snowmobile. We intentionally do not offer two place snowmobiles, since the passenger in back can be a hindrance to the novice driver. Special arrangements can be made for a two-person sled with our guide and a passenger when a guest has special needs.

Clothing:
The Lodge provides full-face protection helmets from Small to XXLarge.

Guests should bring their own comfortable, layered winter clothing. Rarely are riders cold since the handlebars are heated and engine heat is directed towards the rider.

Goggles and/or sunglasses are provided for eye protection if you forgot your own.

Cost:
$150.00 per person

Reservations:
With only limited tours offered, we are not able to take every overnight guest on an excursion. We strongly suggest reserving a sled when making your room reservation at the Lodge to insure you can experience this amazing trip. We will accept additional requests based on space availability when you are at the Lodge, but there is no guarantee you can be included on a trip at that time.
