An herb is a plant or plant part used for its scent, flavor, or therapeutic properties. Herbal medicines are one type of dietary supplement. Culinary herbs are edible parts of plants that are traditionally added to foods for their natural flavoring. Aromatic herbs have been used in the home as potpourris for many centuries, to scent a room gently or deodorize unpleasant smells. Medicinal herbs have long been thought to have curative powers. This class will be a hands-on exploration of all three. All experience levels welcome, Ages 8-12 (with adult) and Ages 12+.

They sing of color, of beauty, and joy.” Weaving is active meditation. The focus of the course will be on designing and weaving a bag or wall piece exploring color, texture, and inlay.
